RCC opens the world to me in religious communication. We are all telling our story and it’s good to have opportunities to learn from each other.

    Our Mission

The Religion Communicators Council, founded in 1929, is an interfaith association of religion communicators at work in print and electronic communication, advertising and public relations.

RCC provides opportunities for religion communicators to learn from each other. Together, RCC members promote excellence in the communication of religious faith and values in the public arena and encourage understanding among religious and faith groups.

RCC includes 13 local chapters in various cities around the country. Local chapters meet regularly for programming and networking. Communicators not located near a local chapter are considered members-at-large.

Nationally RCC offers a yearly convention, complete with exciting keynote speakers and challenging workshops. Highlights of the annual convention are the awards ceremonies where work within religious organizations and in secular media is honored. RCC also supports its members through a newsletter, Counselor, which often includes helpful tips and information.

RCC might be best known for its work in producing the handbook for religion communicators. The 7th edition is now available.

RCC is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization. Donations may be tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. To support RCC activities or scholarship program, write to:
