The Religion Communicators Council, an interfaith organization of professional religion communicators, presents two awards to members each year: The DeRose-Hinkhouse Memorial Award and the Wilbur Award.

70 plus years celebration of the Wilbur Awards

Wilbur Award stained glass trophySince 1949, the Wilbur Awards, have been presented annually to recognize excellence in the communication of religious issues, values and themes in secular media.

The entries are judged by media professionals in a jury process, under the supervision of RCC members across the country. Basic criteria include content, creativity, execution and results, but the ultimate criteria is excellence in the communication of religious values.

The banquet honoring the Wilbur winners for 2020 will be in the DC area, Friday, March 20, in the ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Crystal City, 2700 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington, VA.
