DeRose-Hinkhouse Awards competition opens

Enter work that you are proud of, the helpful resource you designed, the creative innovative communication tool you created in 2019, or better yet, submit entries representing all these.

Information and details are available on the DeRose-Hinkhouse Awards page. Entry deadline is January 17, 2020 – less than three months from now. All entries must be submitted electronically (except for books).

Also, because of Congress 2020, we are making an exception to allow non-members to enter the competition. We believe this will showcase our members' work, increase the sharing of best practices, and lead to increased membership. As a member, you can enter with a substantially lower entry fee.

Register, reserve a room, book transportation

Resources

Considering making a career change? RCC’s web site lists current job openings. One recent addition: Faith in Public Life (FPL) is seeking a Senior Communications Associate to be based in the Washington, D.C. area.

ACP (Associated Church Press) has opened entries for the 2019 ACP Best of Church Press Awards. Members of RCC and ACP are often members of both organizations. Info about these awards is available on the ACP Awards web page.

Wilbur Awards – time to be on “Wilbur Watch”

You will see or hear or read a secular program, book, newspaper article, blog, photo, etc. that excellently presents religious values, issues, positive values and themes. Before the January 24, 2020 entry deadline, note that and then contact the writer, director, producer, etc. and encourage (strong-arming is probably acceptable in this case) them to enter one of the oldest recognition programs in religion communications. Info on the RCC Wilbur Awards page.
