RCC awards programs PLUS amazing lineup of speakers and workshop leaders

Religion Communication Congress 2020 (RCCongress 2020) meets March 17-21, 2020

RCC will have its 2020 annual convention and awards banquets in conjunction with the Religion Communication Congress 2020 set for March 17-21, 2020.

RCC is one of nearly 100 cooperative organizations that are part of Congress 2020.

Information about the plenary sessions, panel discussions, keynote speakers, and workshop presentations can be found in the general program schedule.

Some program highlights:

  • Plenary – “Addressing Racial Crisis: Faithful Steps Forward” – Friday, March 20, 10:45 a.m.

    • Leaders will be Rev. Jim Wallis, founder of Sojourners; Rev. Thomas Bowen, director of religious affairs for the mayor’s office in Washington, D.C.; Rev. Emily “Michelle” Ledder, director of equity and anti-racism for the General Commission on Religion and Race for the United Methodist Church.

  • Film Festival – Tuesday & Thursday evenings – March 17 & 19

    • “Backs Against the Wall: The Howard Thurman Story” (Tuesday at 7:00)

    • “Breaking Bread” (Thursday at 7:30)

Congress 2020 will meet at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City Hotel at Reagan Airport, 2799 Richmond Highway, Arlington, VA 22202.

The hotel has confirmed the following guest room rates, which do not include applicable taxes (currently at 13.25%) or service fees. The rates are in effect for room nights booked between March 14 and March 22.

  • Single-Double Occupancy: $208.00
  • Triple Occupancy: $233.00
  • Quadruple Occupancy: $258.00

Make your hotel reservation by the February 22 deadline to be entered into a drawing to win one of the following:
